My Girl Lyrics

My Girl The Very Best of The Temptations

video
play-sharp-fill

I’ve got sunshine on a cloudy day.
When it’s cold outside I’ve got the month of May.
I guess you’d say
What can make me feel this way?
My girl (my girl, my girl)
Talkin’ ’bout my girl (my girl).

I’ve got so much honey the bees envy me.
I’ve got a sweeter song than the birds in the trees.
I guess you’d say
What can make me feel this way?
My girl (my girl, my girl)
Talkin’ ’bout my girl (my girl).

Ooooh
Hoooo

Hey hey hey
Hey hey hey    Ooooh Hoo yeah!

I don’t need no money, fortune, or fame.
I’ve got all the riches baby one man can claim.
I guess you’d say
What can make me feel this way?
My girl (my girl, mt girl)
Talkin’ ’bout my girl (my girl).

I’ve got sunshine on a cloudy day
with my girl.
I’ve even got the month of May
with my girl

Wild Thing Lyrics

The Troggs Wild Thing

Wild thing…you make my heart sing…
You make everything
Groovy
I said wild thing…

Wild thing, I think I love you
But I wanna know for sure
Come on, hold me tight
I love you

Wild thing…you make my heart sing…
You make everything
Groovy
Wild thing…

Wild thing, I think you move me
But I wanna know for sure
So come on and hold me tight
You move me

Wild thing…you make my heart sing…
You make everything
Groovy
Wild thing…

Come on, Come on,
Wild thing

Shake it, Shake it,
Wild thing

The Troggs Wild ThingThe Troggs were an English rock band from the 1960s that had a number of hits in UK and the US. Their most famous songs include the Hot 100 chart topper "Wild Thing", "With a Girl Like You", and "Love Is All Around". "Wild Thing" is ranked #257 on the Rolling Stone magazine's list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time and was an influence on garage rock and punk rock.

Fronted by Reg Presley, the Troggs were from the town of Andover in southern England and were originally called the Troglodytes.

The Troggs formed in 1964 and were signed by the manager of the Kinks, Larry Page in 1965. They recorded on Page's Page One Records, and Page also leased them to CBS for debut single "Lost Girl". Their most famous hit was the single "Wild Thing" (written by Chip Taylor)

Three of the Troggs' recordings, "Wild Thing", "With a Girl Like You", and "Love Is All Around", each sold over one million copies and were awarded gold discs.

This Guy’s in Love With You

This Guy's in Love With You

You see this guy,
this guy's in love with you

Yes I'm in love,
who looks at you the way I do
when you smile, I can tell
we know each other very well

How can I show you,
I'm glad I got to know you 'cause,
I've heard some talk
they say you think I'm fine,

Yes I'm in Love
and what I'd do to make you mine

Tell me now, is it so?

Don't let me be the last to know,
my hands are shaking
don't let my heart keep breaking 'cause

I need your love
I want your love
say your in love
in love with this guy

If not I'll just die!

Tell me now, is it so?
Don't let me be the last to know,
my hands are shaking
don't let my heart keep breaking 'cause

I need your love
I want your love
say your in love
in love with this guy

If not I'll just die!

This Guy's in Love With You"This Guy's in Love with You" is a song written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David, and recorded by Herb Alpert. Although known primarily for his trumpet playing as the leader of the Tijuana Brass, Alpert sang lead vocals on this solo recording, arranged by Bacharach.

This song reached #1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 pop singles chart in June of 1968 and was not only Alpert's first number one single, but was also the first number one single for his A&M record label.

Eleven years later Herb Alpert would become the first (and only) artist in a recording career to reach the prized #1 top position of the Billboard Hot 100 with both a vocal performance and an instrumental performance when his instrumental, "Rise", soared to the top of the hit chart.

Only You Lyrics

The Platters

Only you
can make this world seem right

Only you
can make the darkness bright

Only you
and you alone
can thrill me like you do
and fill my heart with love
for only you

Only you
can make this change in me,
for it's true,
you are my destiny

When you hold my hand,
I understand
the magic that you do

You're my dream come true,
my one and only you

Only you can make this change in me,
for it's true, you are my destiny
When you hold my hand,
I understand the magic that you do

You're my dream come true,
my one and only you

One and only you

The PlattersThis is one of those songs that would be considered to be before my time, but I've always loved it. After all, true love can only be for that one special person. That one that makes you feel like no other person can. You know what I'm talkin' about. That is if you are a lover… and of course I already know you're a lover, or you wouldn't be on a site for Music "Lovers".

Here are a few facts to go along with the video.

  • The Platters formed in Los Angeles in 1953.
  • The Platters had 40 charting singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart between 1955 and 1967, including four # 1 hits.
  • Only You was Released in the summer of 1955. It became the group's first Top Ten hit on the pop charts and topped the R&B charts for seven weeks.
  • The follow-up was "The Great Pretender" and exceeded the success of their debut. It became the Platters' first national #1 hit.
  • The lyrics were written by Buck Ram in the washroom of the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas.
  • "The Great Pretender" was also the act's biggest R&B hit with an 11-week run atop that chart.
  • In 1956, The Platters appeared in the first major motion picture based around rock and roll, Rock Around the Clock, and performed both "Only You" and "The Great Pretender".
